Breakfast & Brunch

Hood River’s historic downtown district is unique and charming because many of the buildings were built by the first settlers to arrive in Hood River. Below are three of our favorite Hood River, Oregon restaurants to eat out for breakfast and brunch in downtown Hood River.

For a hearty, country-style breakfast, be sure to eat at Bette’s place. Located next to Overlook Memorial Park in downtown Hood River, Bette’s is sure to leave you feeling full. Their egg dishes are sublime but don’t miss out on Bette’s cinnamon roll, which is freshly baked daily.

For a more unique and upscale dining experience, we love going to Broder Ost. Broder Ost’s sister restaurant, Broder Cafe, is one of Portland’s most popular brunch spots. Both Broder locations serve up fresh and delicious Scandinavian-inspired dishes like smorrebrod, which are open-faced sandwiches on German rye bread, Swedish meatballs, and Swedish hash. They also offer a variety of unique egg dishes, sandwiches, soups, and more. Whatever you order, be sure to try their aebleskivers, which are delicious Danish pancake balls.

For a grab-and-go breakfast, we like Stoked Roasters + Coffee House. Stoked’s certified organic coffee lineup includes six signature blends, rotating single origin coffees, and two espresso roasts. They also have hot chocolate and a variety of teas, smoothies, and beer to sip on. Their food menu is simple but delicious and includes favorites like muffins, scones, cookies, and a couple different breakfast sandwiches.
