Choose A Trail
For easy Sunriver hikes, check out the Lava Lands Visitor Center Loop (1.1 mi), Benham Falls (6.6 mi), or the Deschutes River Trail (4.7 mi). Each of these trails lies just on the outskirts of Sunriver and can be a fun morning trip.
For a longer, more moderate day of hiking, be sure to check out the Tumalo Falls Loop (7.1 mi), which features breathtaking Tumalo Falls. The Soda Creek Trail (7.7 mi) is also a good moderate trail near Sunriver with amazing volcanic views.
Avid hikers can brave the South Sister Trail, which is a grueling 11.2 mi (round trip) trek that features an incredibly colorful volcanic landscape. Hikers beware: South Sister also features an elevation change of 5,000 feet.
