Experience the Wonders of the Sunriver Nature Center in Oregon

Sunriver Nature Center is a fun and educational place where visitors come to experience the wonders of the forest and learn about the natural world in the scenic setting of Central Oregon.

Here, visitors of all ages can enjoy hands-on activities, live animal exhibits, nature walks on the Sam Osgood Nature Trail and Lake Aspen Loop, and even solar viewing at the adjacent Oregon Observatory at Sunriver.

Start off with a walk on one of the nature trails, where you’ll traverse forest and wetland terrain while seeing the resident raptors, or birds of prey, that live at the nature center as a part of the facility’s active bird rehabilitation efforts. Visit the botanical garden and learn about the native flora of Central Oregon.

Inside, exhibits vary throughout the year. Summer brings on hands-on exhibits such as toad and snake viewing. The Creature Cave and the Lake Aspen Loop exhibit provide a firsthand look at the animals that call Sunriver and the rest of Central Oregon home.

Admission for the Sunriver Nature Center in Oregon costs $5.00 for children ages 4 – 12 years old and $7.00 for adults. Children under the age of 4 years old and members of the Sunriver Nature Center are admitted for free. Included with the price of your admission is a solar viewing session at the Oregon Observatory, as well as events such as the Raptor Talk.

Sunriver Nature Center is open daily from 9:00am – 5:00pm during the summer season, which lasts from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Solar viewing at the observatory lasts from 11:00am – 2:00pm.
