The Tasting in the Vines tour gives you the opportunity to relax in the picnic area of the vineyard while you enjoy a flight of premier wines and cheeses and relax and listen to stories about the origins of the Phelps Creek Vineyards and what you will find there today. You will also get to wander around the grounds and take in the magnificent scenery that encircles Phelps Creek Vineyards Hood River.
Ultimate Country Wine Experience
This tour is offered at 2:00 pm daily. As the name would suggest, the tour shows you how wine is made from the time the seed is planted in the ground to the time it is picked, crushed, barreled, and put into a bottle. Your tour guide will take you through the rows of red and white vines. You will then visit the winery itself and get to sample upcoming wines from the barrels. The tour ends with participants sitting on the crush pad and enjoying a flight of fabulous wines.
If you would rather just taste the wine and skip the lecture, you can always just visit the tasting room which is open from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm daily. For only $10 you can taste red, white and dessert wines. If you buy a bottle of vino, you will get a free flight. They also have a wine club where you can get discounts on wine and invitations to several parties at the vineyard every year.
