Named for the Native American Chief Paulina, Paulina Plunge is an exquisite natural waterfall attraction that you can easily visit during your time in Sunriver.
The Paulina Plunge Downhill Waterfall Mountain Bike Tour is one excellent way to see the Paulina Plunge up-close. A family-friendly tour great for active visitors between the ages of 4 and 70 years old, the Paulina Plunge tour incorporates a beginning to intermediate downhill fat tire mountain bike adventure over the course of 2,000 vertical feet in half- to one-mile segments of a smooth, dirt trail that lead to Paulina Plunge’s gorgeous waterfalls.
Even better are the natural waterslides, where you can safely play and explore in the water! The bottom of the falls and the waterslides are reached by way of two short, half-mile nature hikes. Trail-a-bike tandems are available for non-biking kids between 4 and 8 years old.
As you ride, your guides take you through the Paulina Mountains and tell you and your guests about the legend of Chief Paulina and other ancient Native Americans who once lived in the region.
The tour is available from May through September, taking place from 9:00am – 3:00pm and from 10:00am – 4:00pm. Prices for the tour are $65.00 per person during May, June, and September, and $70.00 per person in July and August. Tour prices include bike rental, helmets, and transportation.
