About Mount Bachelor
The Mount Bachelor Ski Area has been open since 1958 and is one of the Pacific Northwest’s best ski and snowboard destinations.
Located just 20 miles Northwest of Sunriver, Oregon, Mount Bachelor is the hub for winter sports in Central Oregon. Best known for its varied ski terrain, Mount Bachelor is an inactive stratovolcano that draws visitors from around the country.
Mount Bachelor Resort Features
With a skiable area of 3,683 acres, Mount Bachelor is the largest ski resort in Oregon and one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest. Mount Bachelor also has one of the country’s longest ski seasons with chair lifts running from mid-November until May.
In addition to its skiable area, Mount Bachelor boasts six different terrain parks. Each named after a famous beach along the Oregon Coast, Mount Bachelor’s terrain parks incorporate flowing, natural terrain into jumps, rails, boxes, jibs, half pipes, and much more.
