The Palm Springs Air Museum: Where the History of Aviation Comes to Life
At the Palm Springs Air Museum, you and your guests will encounter one of the largest collections of aircraft from World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War in the world. Many of the aircraft are not only still in flying condition, but here, you can also explore their interiors and interact with them, up-close and personal. This museum is truly one of the only ones of its kind, in terms of visitors’ ability to see these one-of-a-kind aircraft like never before. You can even purchase a ride on a vintage Warbird airplane at the museum’s gift shop!
An air-conditioned hangar (without restrictive topes over the exhibits) holds these phenomenal pieces of aviation history. The museum also has activities and exhibits geared specifically towards children, such as the flight simulators and the children-sized control tower (though visitors of all ages are allowed to tour the immense planes within the museum’s collection. Not only is the museum kid-friendly, but pet owners will also find that this attraction is pet-friendly as well, making it an excellent choice for those interested in planning a pet-friendly vacation in Palm Springs.
The Palm Springs Air Museum is open daily from 10:00am until 5:00pm, with the exception of closing for Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and February 15, 2019. Tickets range from $10.00 to $17.00 per person, depending on age and military status (with ID). Family tickets are available for $37.00 or $47.00, while active duty military personnel with ID, their immediate family, and children ages 5 years or younger are all admitted for free.
