Did you think that a visit to Mount Hood was only for the winter? There’s tons of fun to be had up here in any season, when you take the family to Mount Hood Adventure Park! Besides Mt Hood skiing, there’s something for everyone, whether you like horseback riding, ziplining, mountain biking, or go-karts. Strap in and get ready for adventure!
Chair Lifts – Not Just for Skiing!
Mount Hood Adventure Park makes great off-season use of those chair lifts, and you’ll appreciate the convenient ride with an amazing view! Once at the top, you have a choice of activities: ride the lift back down again (maybe good for an afternoon rest), bike to the bottom, play a round of disc golf, hike down on an interpretive nature trail, or zoom to the bottom on the amazing half-mile Alpine Slide. You might just have to ride that chair lift more than once to try out all your options!
Mount Hood Adventure Park: Plenty of Action for the Kids
Got any little daredevils in the family? They’ll just adore their options here at Mount Hood Adventure Park. If they’ve always wanted to try ziplining, bungee jumping, or driving a go-kart, this is the place to do it all. For the more natural sort, why not take a horseback ride? Mountain bikers will not want to miss the Freeride Bike Park, with lots of crazy stunts built in to test your skills.
The younger set will be excited to try out our bounce house, miniature golf, tightrope walks, the incredible human hamster ball, rock climbing wall, and amazing maze! Kids can also try paddling a canoe, sliding down the summer hill tube track, and hitting some balls in the batting cage. And of course, they’ll love cheering on their brave parents who aren’t afraid to try the bungee tower! At the end of an adventure-packed day, retreat to your comfy & spacious Hood River vacation rental.
East Meets West
There are two parts to the park, and that’s good to know before you go. Most of the attractions are in Skibowl East, near the village area, but Skibowl West is where the trails, bike park, and the chairlift to the uppermost slopes are found. Make sure to visit both sides, and finish the day with a great meal in one of the village restaurants. It’s a day trip the whole family will remember for years to come! For more info on the attractions and activities you can find here, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
