Best Spots to Experience Hood River Golf

In one of the top places of Hood River Oregon’s things to do, golfing in Hood River is a completely extraordinary experience. There are two golf courses in Hood River: Indian Creek and Hood River Country Club. Both clubs have spectacular views of Mount Hood and Mount Adams, but each course offers their own unique experience.

The Indian Creek Golf Course is the closest golf course to the city of Hood River. Its 18 holes wind their way through orchards and tree-lined fairways. Views of Mount Hood and Mount Adams are around nearly every corner. Several ponds and a babbling creek add to the aesthetic beauty of the Indian Creek Golf Course.

The 18th hole drops golfers off at the Indian Creek Clubhouse, which offers golfers drinks, bites, and a direct view of stunning Mount Hood. Indian Creek also has a kid-friendly putting green so it’s a great place to bring the whole family.

The Hood River Country Club is further from Hood River than Indian Creek, but it’s also the oldest, having opened in 1923. The Hood River Country Club’s first nine holes are a relaxed stroll with Mount Hood always in the backdrop.

The next nine holes are more challenging and wind through the trees on the upper half of the property’s 300 acres. Views of the surrounding mountains, orchards, and vineyards are plentiful on the back nine, making Hood River golf an extraordinary experience.

Once finished, golfers can relax or eat in Hood River Country Club’s rustic cabin headquarters. Resembling a country farmhouse more than a clubhouse, the Hood River Country Club has a quiet and relaxing aesthetic that allows golfers to focus on the love of the game more than the prestige of it.

Hood River Country Club is the real deal and has been in business since the 1920s for good reason! They even offer wine tasting at their clubhouse most evenings.
