Enjoy a pint of your favorite beer style like an IPA or order up a tasting flight to try a little bit of everything. Go White Water Rafting

There is one thing that Hood River is especially known for and it is wind surfing. Hood River is nearby the Columbia River Gorge and offers a wind power like no other. The river funnels in the wind making the area be exceptionally special for wind surfing. Go Hiking
Another great way to see all of Hood River is by enjoying a little bit of hiking in the area. You will find a variety of trails with different difficulty levels all throughout the area. Laurance Lake High Ridge Hike is a 6.6 mile long that is considered moderately challenging. The trail features several switch backs that offer stunning views of Mount Hood. You can even walk along the ridge near the wash out for the best views possible. Exploring the trail in June offers plenty of sunshine but also bigger crowds so heading up earlier in the morning is always recommended.
If you prefer some outdoor cycling simply head over to the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail. This 9 mile trail is paved making it ideal for outdoor biking and taking in direct views of the river. Lost Lake Loop is a short 3.1 mile trail that can easily be completed in around an hour. The views over the lake mirror Mount Hood for breathtaking picture opportunities. There is no bad hiking in Hood River!
