The 4th of July Pet Parade and festival in Bend is held from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and begins downtown at 520 NW Wall Street. The event is sponsored by Bend Pet Express which has been a staple in the community since the 1930s. Participation and Logistics

Decorating and lineup for one of the most anticipated things to do in Bend Oregon in July begin at 9:00 am so that everyone is looking their best when the parade officially begins at 10:00 am. Participants will only need to come wearing an animal costume of their choice and accompanied by their pets or even stuffed animals.

Transportation options include a wagon pulled by a parent, trikes, bikes or homemade floats. While cats and rabbits are much-loved animals, they aren’t allowed at this event which caters more to canine companions that must be leashed to participate. Those who bond with horses at home are free to bring their larger pets as well. This group will line up at the intersection of Wall Street and Idaho and helmets are required.
