Founded by a chef, a manager and Sommelier, and an expert in the food and hospitality business, Celilo was born out of another successful Hood River restaurant, the Sixth Street Bistro & Loft.
After Sixth Street Bistro & Loft was sold in the 1990s, the founders focused their efforts on building another successful restaurant from the ground up. When Celilo was in its fledgling stages, the founders agreed that they wanted this restaurant to be both beautiful and sustainable.
