Boating

You can take a regular sightseeing cruise or take a dinner cruise. The knowledgeable staff can tell you all about how the mountains were formed and the history of the Pacific Northwest. One-hour cruises are $28 for adults and $18 for children. A two-hour cruise is $32 for adults and $20 for kids. Cruises leave from the Waterfront Grill six times a day. You have a lot of boating options on the river. You can rent a small riverboat or take a cruise all the way to the Willamette. You can take a sailing lesson or learn how to windsurf.

 

The Roy Webster Cross-Channel Swim

Each Labor Day a group of swimmers jumps into the Columbia River from the Sternwheeler and swims for 1.1 miles to Hood River. This event starts at 5:30 am and goes until 10:00 am. You won’t want to miss one of the best Hood River, Oregon upcoming events.

 

Take a Hike

When you visit Hood River, make sure to take a hike on the Cold Creek Trail which is a 3.5-mile loop that goes right along the breathtaking Tamanawas Falls. You will see some truly spectacular views on this popular hike.
